Ready for some speedy craft? Make these super plate cars with your kids and watch them zoom into action. Make different coloured cars using various coloured tissue paper and stick them to the bedroom walls and make a race track around the room.

Make a speedy car
Materials: paper plate, red tissue paper, paper glue, black paper,white paper, scissors.

Step 1: Cut paper plate in half.
Make a speedy car
Step 2: Cut red tissue paper into rough rectangles
Make a speedy car
Step 3: Cover inside of plate with glue and attach the crepe paper pieces until it is completely covered.

Step 4: Cut out two circles and a simple headlight shape from black paper.

Step 5: Glue the wheels and headlight on as shown.

Step 6: Cut out two rectangle shapes from the white paper and glue them on for windows. Let it dry. Make a road out of the rest of the black paper.

Feeling hot and bothered?
Make these paper daisy fans with your kids and chill. Take a moment in time to make and create these works of art.

Make Paper Diasy Fans
Materials: Various A4 coloured paper, white paper, scissors, paper glue, coloured markers.
Make a daisy chain fan
Step 1: Concertina fold one sheet of coloured paper lengthways.

Step 2: Cut a small piece of same coloured paper to wrap around one end to form a fan.

Step 3: Glue this to the fan. Spread out fan.

Step 4: Draw three or four flower shapes on the white paper.

Step 5: Colour the centre of each flower with colours of your choice.  Colour and cut out five leaf shapes.

Step 6: Glue flowers on first and then place and glue on leaf shapes. Let it dry.

Finished fan ready for cooling mummy.

Heard the buzz? Make Eggy Bees with your kids

Are you having a buzzing day?  Make these Eggy Bees with your kids and watch them buzz with excitement. Egg cartons are fantastic to use for various craft animals. Why not try creating a frog, dragonfly or a cow. Your inventions are never-ending. Just some basic craft supplies and your imagination.

Materials: Egg carton, 2 goggle eyes, yellow paint, black paint, 2 black pipe cleaners,1 glitter pipe cleaner, paintbrush, PVA glue,scissors

Step 1: Cut out 2 egg holders from the egg carton.
Make an eggy bee
Step 2: Paint it yellow. Let it dry.

Step 3: Paint black stripes across the egg cups evenly spaced. Let it dry.

Step 4: Concertina fold black pipe cleaners and cut 4 equal pieces for the legs and 2 smaller pieces for the antenna.

Step 5: Attach these legs with PVA glue or sticky tape.

Step 6:  Fold the glitter pipe cleaner into wing shape and leave a piece sticking down so that it can stick into the egg carton along the back.

Step 7:  Stick the long piece of the pipe cleaner behind the head and fold it under so it is out of sight.  Insert the two shorter black pipe cleaners for antennae.

Step 8: Glue on the goggle eyes and you are done.
